Metropolitan Adelaide's last drive-in cinema will close its gates for the final time in early 2022, with its owners citing a changing film industry, piracy, the COVID-19 pandemic and the introduction of daylight saving as reasons it is no longer viable.
The glow of the big screen will fade when Adelaide's last suburban drive-in theatre closes at the start of 2022.
